I am an iPad addict. Crazy convenient, and new apps everyday. Always inspired by the ingenuity of app developers. Useful, fun, powerful. Here is how I find awesome apps
This is a free website (and app) which ranks apps, but more importantly, tells you which ones are one sale or free. You regularly see $1.99 apps on sale for free. It is worth checking the virtual “sale rack” daily.
Excellent reviews of app by category. It is well-curated and gives you a real side-by-side comparison of apps by category. Before you buy an app, see if it is the best choice. Truly a great service. A few sample reviews:
- Knot Apps: Brush Up On Your Knotting Skills
- Camping Apps: Camping Will Never Be the Same
- Netflix Queue Management: Manage your Netflix queue on your iPhone or iPad
- Tower, Castle, Base Defense Apps (for those less geeky, this is a type of game)
This is how a consultant would do it. Put all the data in one place. Use a common set of criteria to rank and rate the choices. Think Consumer Reports. Make it very visual. Make it very valuable to the customer so that they come back every day. Make the site sticky.
