Teaching Approach
Create a learning environment
- Provide clear executive summaries of the core content; let’s not complicate the basics
- Get people excited; it’s a fascinating time to study business (supply chain, machine learning, cryptocurrency, ways of working)
- Create a safe environment to ask questions, debate, disagree; it’s okay to not agree with everyone, all the time
- Record lectures in advance, so you can watch it 1.5x speed, more than once, take notes; be ready for class discussion
- Learn by doing; passive listening doesn’t work for me, probably doesn’t work for you
- Nudge you to do the work; there is a LOT to learn, especially if you want to learn, leap, jump in your career
- Ask you for for key takeaways after each class; education = what you remember, after you forget what you learned
Teaching is a privilege. Love it
Every year, I facilitate learning with 600+ students and executives:
- Undergraduate business majors; strategic management

- Executive MBA; healthcare strategy
- Executive education; strategy, scenario planning, disruptive innovation
- Corporate training; problem solving, consulting approach, strategic thinking
